About Me

Hello to everyone and welcome to my page!

An opportunity to tell you a little about me and I am going to throw it out there...

I'm not a fan of the gym. Shock Horror!

Many years ago I was advised to go to the local gym to undertake some strength training to compliment my road running as I picked up a very common injury which involved taking some time out, strengthening the area and undertaking some cross training. Personally, it was one of the most daunting experiences and with shear confusion, I would get on the bike for 20-minutes, 20-minutes of cross-training and then walk out. A bit of my weekly cardio done but never touched a weight.

I needed to know more and I wanted to pass this information to others

With a degree in Chemistry and then straight into work in the Chemical Waste Industry where I had been since 2007, almost 10 years on, I took advice to 'take the leap' and embark on an educational journey in health and fitness.

Still working as the Health & safety Manager, I applied to start my Fitness Instructor Course. I was ready to start my new challenge and the next day, found out I was pregnant with my second child. Only a little obstacle and I passed half way through my pregnancy.

After the birth of my second child in early 2017, I used my maternity leave to do something for me and continued my journey into the fitness world by applying for my Level Three Personal Trainer Qualification. Summer of 2017 welcomed weekly fitness classes in the local park and Personal Training sessions for charity to help decide is this what I really want to do. Over £1000 later which was donated to JDRF UK (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

One weekend before I went back to work... I Qualified!

2018 saw the creation of Hayley Hurdle Fitness, alongside my Part time H&S Job, two young boys, my two active dogs and my husband.

2019 saw me leaving what I knew for many years to do what I love....helping and educating others to be the best they can be.

This is my chance to help you believe that you can do it! You too can turn what seems like an impossibility into something amazing. With some consistency, determination and balance you could make changes to your life for the long-term. My belief is that there is no quick fix and changes should be made ever so gradually. These changes become 'just what you do' because you want to, not because you feel you should have to.

Finally, to prove you do not need the big, commercial gym to be fit, health, active and strong!

Thank you to all those who have helped me to find the confidence to grow and to continue pushing.

Lets keep the Cotswolds Moving!

Hayley xx
